Event Description:

While the world's demand for energy and clean water continue to grow alongside greenhouse gases, companies throughout Europe and the United States are devising innovative solutions to address these global concerns.  With the United States back among Paris accord signatories, the transatlantic relationship will be key force to developing and implementing financially viable sustainability models.
 

Confirmed Speakers include: 

1) Antonis Papadourakis | President & CEO – LANXESS Corporation. Prior to his roles at LANXESS, he held diverse positions in Europe including Sr. Chemical Engineer, Group Leader of the Process Economics Center and Process Control Manager for Polymers & Resins worldwide, Purchasing Manager for Rohm and Haas (UK) Ltd., Engelhard Corporation as Global Business Manager for Stationary Source & Indoor Air and Regional Group President, Americas at Altuglas International.

2) Tina Owens | Senior Director of Agriculture for Danone North America, the largest public benefit corporation and the largest Certified B Corporation in the world. Tina leads the charge for regenerative agriculture practices, farmer profitability, unique animal feed supply chain development and regenerative financing. She also oversees Danone’s public commitment to soil health in North America, working with partners such as Cornell University & EcoPractices.

3) Oshik Efrati | CEO – HomeBiogas. Oshik cofounded HomeBiogas in 2012 with the mission of reducing organic waste, transitioning to renewable energy, and improving the health and living conditions for the millions of families that are still cooking on charcoal and wood. HomeBiogas has deployed thousands of biogas systems to over 90 countries worldwide, enabling people to transform their lives while simultaneously helping the environment.

4) Stewart Leeth | Chief Sustainability Officer – Smithfield Foods. In this role, Leeth leads company-wide regulatory initiatives and directs the company’s sustainability program. This program focuses on animal welfare, employee relations, environmental stewardship, food safety and quality, and community development. He is also responsible for legal affairs for Smithfield’s hog production division and serves as vice president of the Smithfield Foundation.

Clyde (Skip) E. Rankin, III | Partner - Baker & McKenzie. He is a member of the Firm's North America Transactional Practice Group based in the New York office and is Chair of the North America Projects Practice. Mr. Rankin is fluent in French. He has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America from 2006 - 2021 and is highlighted in Legal 500 US 2010, 2011, 2015 and 2017-2021 for his work as an advisor to sponsors in project finance and renewable energy.
