Event Description:
For LEG Thueringen's first transatlantic trade mission to the USA in over two years, they are visiting the thriving East Coast technology hubs of Boston, MA and Rochester, NY. Their goal is to promote Thuringian high-tech know-how and expertise, particularly in the fields of optics, life sciences, automation, and sensor technology, and to pair it with the cutting-edge technological output developed by companies based in the US.

Join us on Tuesday, May 17 for the "The Future of Smart Manufacturing" - an exchange about trends, best practices & lessons learned from German & US companies. Take advantage of this exciting opportunity and meet with Thuringian companies at our event in Boston.

A detailed agenda is available here.

At the epicenter of Europe sits Thuringia, land of sensors, optics, and nextgen microchips, with its storied history in the early development of micro and nanoelectronics, lasers, and robots, and with an embarrassment of riches in the density of research institutes, technical universities, and other bodies dedicated to the development of science. Home to literally thousands of companies operating in various aspects of the field of smart manufacturing, Thuringia is unparalleled in its role as a leader in the transition to Industry 4.0. The German Aerospace Agency (DLR) recognized this dominance in the field when it located its Institute for Data Science in Jena, and Thuringian technology has accompanied NASA's mission to Mars.
  • 7,000 Industry 4.0, automation technology, optics & machinery companies
  • 1,000 automotive & automotive supplier companies
  • 1,500 Medtech companies

We are also organizing B2B meetings for select companies that are part of the delegation. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about the participating companies and to set up an individual meeting in the Boston area.
