About
The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) administers state and federal programs to meet its mission to strengthen economic and community vitality. Iowa’s Europe Office is in charge of developing and implementing its European marketing strategy with the goal to identify and assist businesses seeking to invest and create jobs in the State of Iowa. IEDA also provides trade promotion assistance to Iowa companies seeking to enter global markets. Advanced manufacturing is Iowa’s largest industry - from food and ingredients products, to medical devices, aerospace products, agricultural and construction machinery. It is a bioscience epicenter commited to innovation and collaboration. Iowa is the second largest wind energy producer, and companies, by working with Iowa’s utilities, may operate their facilities with a zero carbon footprint. Iowa’s Energy Office is currently reviewing its green hydrogen strategy. Medium-sized companies, global industry leaders as well as startup companies – all find a welcoming business climate in Iowa. Already one of the top headquarters for the finance and insurance industries, Iowa is the perfect place to expand, relocate or start a financial services business. It leads with a pro-business mindset, a progressive and responsive regulatory environment, and offers one of the lowest insurance premium tax rates in the country — one percent.
