This month's Club J-1 exclusive event will be a visit to enjoy the Whitney Museum of American Art, which has free entry on Friday nights from 5-10 pm. There are drinks and music to enjoy before touring the rest of this exciting museum.

Known as 'The Whitney', this museum focuses on modern and contemporary arts with displays paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, instillation art, videos, photography, and more.

Featured arts include: The Mother of American modernism- Georgia O'Keeffe, avant-garde Oscar Bluemner, founders of the precisionism style- Charles Sheeler and Charles Demuth, and Maurice Prendergast, a member of the unconventional group 'The Eight'.

These impactful artists are just a few examples of what The Whitney has to offer. Moreover, this art reflects the culture and 'Zeitgeist' of the United States. Visiting, viewing, and immersing yourself with the art at The Whitney will help you dive deeper into American culture.

The closest MTA station is the ACE 14th Street / 8th Ave.

The M14 Bus would also be helpful to get you to the west side.

Ms. Sandy Jones will be there around 7:00 pm to meet up and tour the museum.

Tickets are free, but you need to reserve them in advance.
